Cooking Lisbon: Your Culinary Guide to Portuguese Gastronomy

Well, I did it. I have always wanted to take a cooking class abroad, and now I can say that I have. And let me tell you, taking a cooking class abroad is one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences that I could have asked for. It made that trip so much better. Not to mention, I had the opportunity to meet people from Germany, Canada, Holland and Australia.

The staff at Cooking Lisbon was absolutely kind and warm and welcoming. They were patient and made the classes enjoyable and fun. The recipe selections were incredible, and if I ever find myself back in Lisbon, I will certainly be taking cooking classes with Cooking Lisbon. They are highly rated by me. Below are some of the things that we learned to cook in the class, things from codfish fritters in the cooking class, to things such as the very popular Pastel de Nata pastries.

So why should you take a cooking class abroad?

First things first, it’s fun. Second, you can learn about other cultures and cuisines; some of which have been around for generations, such as the Pastel de Nata. Their is quite the history behind those. Third, you can meet people from all over the world. So, my advice, should you take a cooking class if you have the opportunity to when you travel abroad? My advice….YES! YES! YES! You won’t regret it. And you will learn so much.
